Latest news – Government website updated to include Wedding Industry Guidelines

Latest news! The Government website Gov.uk (England) has been updated ahead of the Prime Minister Boris Johnson’s announcement in regards the ease of restrictions that include wedding receptions and the guidelines, of which there are many. Some of the guidelines include eating and food and drink, entertainment and mention the point that ‘dancing is not permitted’, ‘dancefloors are to be repurposed for additional seating’. All whilst following social distancing guidelines. Still a long way from the weddings we know and love but a step forward.

The BBC News also announced the latest updates and you can take a look here

We will need to wait until tomorrows announcement for confirmation however the restrictions are many and until we hear more you can take a look by clicking here to read the latest amendments on the Governments website.

The last announcement was a big shock to everyone with a very last minute decision that put so many wedding plans into disarray. You can read about that on our previous post here: The PM’s latest statement is another Devastating Blow to an already struggling Wedding Industry.

All close contact suppliers will be delighted to heard they are mentioned and we hope they too can get back working from 15th August too.

We will update this news once the announcements have been made and more is known for wedding ceremonies and receptions.
